- You guys want to hear funny, go talk to a rancher sometime. Its always to wet, or always to dry, or always to hot or always to cold...never a good weather or good time to be in ranching.

- Texas has had droughts since the beginging of time, they come and they go, its part of ranching. Good time to cull the herd and improve bloodlines. Ranchers know this and deal with it.

- When waters scarce I give my cattle BEER. Keeps them happy, they mate more (even the ugly cows), and the meat comes tenderized....:)

- From what I have seen this Lt.General is a vietnam veteran, combat infantry experienced, Special Forces qualified, ranger certified, airborne qualified with master parachutist wings and a plethera of other experiences and qualifications.........I think he has earned the right to speak at West Point …

- In the Marine Corps its not where you are currently at, its what you do where ever your at. If he falls asleep, falls out of runs, cant carry the weight, or generally keep up in Hawaii....he will continue the pattern any where they go.

- Yes, Douglas and the area around it is wonderful, thats where my neighbor, a fellow rancher, was murdered one morning. Shot to death in his atv by a group of illegals. Border Patrol tracked them from the crime scene back across the line.
